At the conclusion of the 2017 Run for the Fallen Anita Richards, organizer since the event inception, asked Merced Sunrise Rotary if they were willing to on the responsibilities of managing the event.

Merced Sunrise said yes, with one condition - could Merced Sunrise Rotary have a large part in managing the 9th annual event.  The event hosted in 2018 had a number of Sunrise Rotarians on hand to witness how things are organized and agreed to host the event in the future as part of the Merced Field of Honor.

  

In preperation for the 2019 event - the event date was set, organization assistance was sought, the course set, registration web site activated and now the Merced Run for the Fallen web site has been integrated with the Merced Field of Honor web site.
